CircaNICA

CircaNICA was established in 2003 to support the careers of Australia’s hottest new circus artists. Representing graduates of the National Institute of Circus Arts (NICA) and select circus artists from Australia and the world. CircaNICA is the fusion of professional performers and innovative performance.

For CATWALKTHEATRE Jessica will execute an elegant contortion hand-balancing act perched upon three canes. She will move through a series of remarkable contorted movements and positions displaying strength, grace and flexibility both in her lyrical choreography and technical skills.

Jessica has had a love for dance and is trained in gymnastics and acrobatics in which she participated in national and international competitions. At 19 she gave up her full time job as a flight attendant to study a Bachelor Degree in circus at the National Institute of Circus Arts (NICA). Since graduating in 2009, Jessica has performed at the opening of the Sydney Festival and on a creative development project with NIDA and Legs on the Wall. She specialises in contortion, hand balancing and aerial hoop.
